My Dad sent me this and I thought it was going to be silly, but I watched it anyway.

I'm glad I did. I didn't need the stupid commentary at the end, but it's a great story.

At least now I know...

I have three outdoor cats that adopted me almost three years ago. A momma cat and two sons. Momma, Tiger and Squeek. So named because he didn't meow, so much as squeek. He was my favorite of the three. He's been missing for almost two weeks.

Tonight I found him, underneath my porch. I guess he'd been there the whole time and I didn't know it. I had no idea he was there, it didn't occur to me that he would be there. I just figured he'd wandered on or that someone had taken him. I kept hoping, and praying, that he'd come back.

I guess he never left...

Goodbye friend, I'll certainly miss you.

Supervisor Asks Woman To Take Down American Flag

MANSFIELD (CBS 11 News) ―

For one Arlington (TX) woman, the answer was "no" after she hung an American flag in her office just before the Memorial Day weekend.

Debbie McLucas is one of four hospital supervisors at Kindred Hospital in Mansfield. Last week, she hung a three-by-five foot American flag in the office she shares with the other supervisors.

When McLucas came to work Friday, her boss told her another supervisor had found her flag offensive. "I was just totally speechless. I was like, 'You're kidding me,'" McLucas said.

McLucas' husband and sons are former military men. Her daughter is currently serving in Iraq as a combat medic.

Stifling a cry, McLucas said, "I just wonder if all those young men and women over there are really doing this for nothing."

McLucas said the supervisor who complained has been in the United States for 14 years and is formerly from Africa. McLucas said the supervisor took down Debbie's flag herself.

"The flag and the pole had been placed on the floor," McLucas said. But McLucas also said hospital higher ups had told her some patients' families and visitors had also complained.

"I was told it wouldn't matter if it was only one person," she said. "It would have to come down."

McLucas said hospital bosses told her as far as patriotism was concerned, the flag flying outside the hospital building would have to suffice.

Kindred Hospital Corporate Headquarters are located in Kentucky. They have yet to make a final decision on the matter. They have not returned our phone calls for comment.

The Kindred Hospital Corporation was chosen as Fortune's most admired for 2009. McLucas hopes they'll back her patriotism.

"I find it very frightening because if I can't display my flag, what other freedoms will I lose before all is said and done," McLucas asked.

Her opinions, although competent, are viewed by former prosecutors as not especially clean or tight, and sometimes miss the forest for the trees. It's customary, for example, for Second Circuit judges to circulate their draft opinions to invite a robust exchange of views. Sotomayor, several former clerks complained, rankled her colleagues by sending long memos that didn't distinguish between substantive and trivial points, with petty editing suggestions--fixing typos and the like--rather than focusing on the core analytical issues.

Memorial Day

On this day, in particular I'm thinking of SSG Zachary Ryan Wobler. He was killed (ambushed) in Mosul on Feb 6, 2005.

I had the privilege of bringing his remains home to American soil. While I didn't know him, I know that he was one of THE best soldiers in the Army. He was the 82nd Airborne Division's "Paratrooper-of-the year" in 2002. He was Ranger and Jumpmaster qualified.

I won't ever forget him, because I wear his KIA bracelet every day. I plan on dying with it on my wrist.

Samuel Alexander Armas (born December 2, 1999) is the child shown in a famous photograph by Michael Clancy as he seemed to grasp his surgeon's hand from a hole in his mother's uterus during open fetal surgery for spina bifida. The photograph was taken during a pioneering surgical procedure performed on August 19, 1999 to fix the spina bifida lesion of a 21-week-old fetus in the womb. During the operation, Dr. Joseph Bruner successfully alleviated the effects of the opening in Samuel's spine caused by the spina bifida. As a result of the operation, Armas was healthy when he was delivered on December 02, 1999

Samuel Armas, 9, proudly displays ribbons he's won for swimming.

"When I see that picture, the first thing I think of is how special and lucky I am to have God use me that way," Samuel told FOXNews.com. "I feel very thankful that I was in that picture."

On Aug. 19, 1999, photographer Michael Clancy shot the "Fetal Hand Grasp" — his picture of a 21-week-old fetus grasping a doctor's finger during innovative surgery to correct spina bifida. Nearly four months later, on Dec. 2, Samuel Armas was "born famous."

The photo, which first appeared in USA Today on Sept. 7, 1999, quickly spread across the globe as proof of development in the womb and was later cited during congressional debates on the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act, which passed in 2000.

"It's just a miracle picture, a miracle moment," Clancy told FOXNews.com. "It shows the earliest human interaction ever recorded."

Samuel, now 9 and living in Villa Rica, Ga., said the photo likely gave countless "babies their right to live" and forced many others to debate their beliefs on abortion, something he's proud of.

"It's very important to me," Samuel said of the photograph. "A lot of babies would've lost their lives if that didn't happen."

What an awesome kid and an awesome miracle.

Obama celebrates Cinco de Mayo a day early

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama is celebrating Cinco de Mayo a little early.

On the eve of the Mexican holiday, Obama on Monday had an event in the East Room of the White House with Mexico's Ambassador Arturo Sarukhan.

Obama joked that it was "Cinco de Cuatro," botching a play on the Spanish word for "four" when he meant to say "Cuatro de Mayo," or the Fourth of May. He tried again, but he still did not get it right. (Ed. I guess the teleprompter was on the fritz...)

Moving past the jumbled translation, the president assured his guests that the White House wants to be early in commemorating the holiday.

Cinco de Mayo celebrates the Mexican troops' defeat of the French on May 5, 1862, at Puebla. Obama called it a "decisive victory" that inspired a sense of pride that Mexicans feel today.

O'Bama doesn't want to take away our guns!
